Keynote: “The Evolution of Condition Monitoring” Condition monitoring is a simple way to drive preventive maintenance when it is needed as opposed to using a calendar-based approach. Generating PMs based on conditions can reduce the cost of maintenance by scheduling the PMs when a condition is met. In this presentation, we will discuss the evolution of condition monitoring and identify some actions organizations can take to take advantage of condition monitoring to drive asset management forward. We all know that PMs help us maintain our assets to improve reliability and availability, however there are still organizations who have not taken full advantage this approach. If you find yourself n a reactive state of maintenance and always thinking there is not enough time in the day, you have an opportunity for improvement and a real ROI (Return on Investment) in front of you. This Keynote presentation will focus on real life experiences identifying an issue and defining a solution that had an impact on the bottom line. We will discuss the different approaches to condition monitoring and the pitfalls and benefits related to the evolution of condition monitoring. |

What about the Maximo User? We will discuss Maximo and how some projects have been rolled out. Times where we have updated Maximo and created a process to track information and how you then feed that information to the users. Times where we have got with the users to find out the needs and how that crossed over into the Maximo system. The focus will not be some much on Maximo and how to configure the software but to make sure that you always consider the users and make sure the communication lines are open and that you keep them invloved. |
